How do I return or cancel an order?

Returns & Refunds

Because our products are perishable food items we do not accept returns. Once an order has been shipped and delivered, the products cannot be returned or resold for food safety reasons.

If you experience a problem with your order, please contact us within 6 hours of delivery by replying to the order confirmation email and include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the product and packaging

We will review the situation and, if appropriate, offer a replacement, store credit, or partial/full refund at our discretion.

Products that are opened, partially used, improperly stored, or reported after the 6-hour window may not be eligible for compensation.

Order Cancellation Policy

To ensure the quality and freshness of our products, order processing begins immediately after an order is placed. This may include purchasing livestock, sourcing specialty products, scheduling USDA processing, preparing packaging, and reserving inventory.

Standard Orders

Before Shipment

If your order has not yet shipped, you may request cancellation by email.

Approved cancellations are subject to a 20% cancellation fee to cover payment processing fees, administrative expenses, order handling, and other costs incurred before shipment.

A confirmation email will be sent showing the final refund amount.

After Shipment

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled. Due to the perishable nature of our products, shipped orders are considered final.

Custom Orders

All custom orders are final, non-cancelable, and non-refundable.

Custom orders are discussed and approved with the customer before the order is placed. Once the order is submitted, work begins immediately and may include:

  • Purchasing livestock or specialty products specifically for the customer's order.

  • Scheduling USDA slaughter, processing, and inspection.

  • Custom cutting, packaging, labeling, and order preparation.

  • Reserving inventory and production capacity exclusively for that customer.

Because custom orders are specially prepared and often involve perishable products that cannot be returned to inventory or resold in their original intended form, they cannot be canceled after the order has been placed, regardless of whether processing has been completed.

Backorders

Occasionally, certain products may become temporarily unavailable due to seasonal availability, supplier delays, or high demand.

If an item is placed on backorder, we will notify you and ship it as soon as it becomes available.

You may request cancellation of a backordered item before it ships by contacting Customer Service by email.

If a backordered item is not canceled before shipment, it will be shipped automatically when available.

Once a backordered item has shipped, it is considered a final sale and cannot be canceled, as our products are perishable food items.

🥚 Hatching Egg Policy & Hatchability Disclaimer

No Guarantee of Hatchability

We do not guarantee hatch rates or hatchability of any eggs sold.

Hatching eggs are a fragile, biological product, and successful hatching depends on multiple factors beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Incubation temperature and humidity control
  • Turning frequency and technique
  • Incubator calibration and accuracy
  • Handling during and after delivery
  • Storage conditions prior to incubation
  • Shipping conditions and transit time
  • Individual fertility variation

Because of these variables, hatch success cannot be predicted or guaranteed.

Fertility vs. Hatch Rate

While we maintain healthy breeding stock and follow best practices, please understand:

  • Fertility ≠ Hatchability
  • Even fertile eggs may fail to develop due to incubation or shipping stress
  • Hatch rates vary significantly even under optimal conditions

Shipping Risks

All eggs are carefully packed using protective materials and proven methods. However:

  • Shipping involves vibration, temperature changes, and handling stress
  • These factors can negatively affect embryo development
  • Once eggs leave our facility, we are not responsible for carrier-related impact on hatchability

Buyer Responsibility

By purchasing hatching eggs, the buyer acknowledges:

  • They have experience or knowledge of proper incubation practices
  • They accept all risks associated with hatching eggs
  • They understand that no refund or replacement is offered based on hatch results

No Returns or Refunds

Due to the perishable and sensitive nature of hatching eggs:

  • All sales are final
  • No returns, refunds, or replacements based on:
    • Low hatch rates
    • Infertility claims
    • Incubation outcomes

Damage or Delivery Issues

If your package arrives visibly damaged:

  • Contact us within 6 hours of delivery
  • Provide clear photos of:
    • The shipping box
    • The label
    • Internal packaging
    • Eggs as received

Failure to provide proper documentation may void any claim.

Final Note

We have been shipping hatching eggs for many years and take pride in our packing and flock management. However, hatching eggs are not a finished product—they are a process, and results will always vary.
